How to Give a Shoe Bridal Shower

Many bridal showers use a theme to unite the various elements of the shower decor. 1Send out invitations that have a shoe design on them, using either the Cinderella glass slipper or more generalized stilettos.

2Suggest on the invitation that guests wear their favorite and boldest pair of high heels to the shower. This can create some memorable photo opportunities at the shower.

3Decorate on the day of the party by laying a flat, circular mirror in the center of each table. Place a clean, new stiletto in the middle of the mirror, and arrange flowers around the shoe. Alternatively, use glass vases shaped like shoes, and  fill the shoe vases with fresh flowers.

4Cover all of the guest tables with linens decorated with imagery of women's shoes or other feminine icons, such as purses and makeup. The tablecloths can be found at party stores or fabric stores.

5Tie the chairs with sashes. Pin a shoe-shaped brooch to the back of each chair sash. Search novelty shops and costume jewelry shops for the brooches.

6Gather small plastic shoes, purchased at party supply stores or discount stores. Place one at each guest's table setting. Fill each shoe with pieces of candy for the guests to take home as favors.

7Design a cake that looks like a stiletto shoe or a glass slipper as the centerpiece for the bride’s table. In lieu of the cake, you can also use a shoe-shaped cookie cutter to make stiletto-shaped cookies for dessert.
